Bottom Line: This e-book (viewed through the iBooks app) includes stunning photographs and a wealth of information about the Grand Canyon, told through the voice of a dog, a California condor, and a squirrel. Text heavy, so read along with younger kids. Worth the money just for the spectacular photos!

Counting Around the World — Review

 

 

Bottom line: a terrific app that teaches so much more than counting. Photos of real kids from around the world will help your little one count to ten while learning about geography and other cultures. The developer’s charity work is also a great starting point for discussion with kids of any age.

Touchable Earth - Review

 

 

Bottom Line: A very useful social studies app for homeschoolers and teachers. Not a game, but educational vignettes of children from different countries which give a peek into their everyday life.
