National Giraffic is a terrific app to learn geography!

Learn the countries, capitals and flags for six different continents with the fun giraffe in National Giraffic. Learn where countries are located on their continent by dropping them down with the shadow to guide. This is a great visual task for kids, and it also helps them understand how to read maps and identify countries by their outline. Then, repeat the task with capitals and flags. With warm up, training and a final exam, kids will really understand geography with this app!

Bottom Line: A geography app jam-packed with information and pictures. Easy navigation and colorful layout will catch a user's eye, but the app will appeal only to a small audience of young geography lovers with good reading skills. Seven different maps to explore with five activities in each allows for a lot of content, but staying engaged could prove difficult for many.

Today's GFAOTD is a geography quiz wrapped up as a game. Geo Master Plus is a handy tool for brushing up on (or learning in the first place) many aspects of world geography, including countries and their capitals, plus cities and flags. There are also some pretty awesome maps available.
