Toca Hair salon, the first in Toca Boca's series of hair styling apps, is still a favorite in my house. Using the tools in the app, as you watch the reactions of the characters, is a blast.

 Bottom Line: If there's one thing I love, it's a great math app. Or maybe a math app with a lot of free games, or a math app fun enough to stay engaging, but still maintaining a focus on the skills. No, really, I love a well-designed app for kindergarten through sixth grade that never crashes. Amazingly, these great features add up to just one great 5-star app!

Bottom Line: Grandma has always been a favorite of mine, and this new app is my all-time favorite. It teaches kids note names, placements, instrument sounds and patterns. Grandma still dances, and Grandpa makes appearances playing instruments, too. A great app for learning and appreciating music, designed for kids from 6-12 but great for preschoolers, too, with a few settings accommodations.

Bottom Line: My eight year old daughter discovered Dr. Panda Candy Factory before I even knew it had fully downloaded. She immediately declared it her favorite Dr. Panda, with so much to do and learn. As a long time Dr. Panda fan, this is high praise. And Dr. Panda Candy Factory really is full of amazing fun.
