Bottom Line: As fans of the Dr. Panda apps might guess, Dr. Panda Bath Time is another great app for learning and play. This time, Dr. Panda and friends are learning about hygiene while washing clothes, taking showers or baths, going to the potty, brushing teeth, washing hands and getting dressed. Little iOS users will enjoy the characters' responses while completing the tasks.

Our enchanting Ellie shows us how the app works below. Take a look!
This app opens with a cute animation of the Dr. Panda characters followed by the home screen which has a parent section, a promotional button for other Dr. Panda apps and by tapping on the middle of the screen, kids can go straight to playing. The parent and promotional buttons are both protected by a "year you were born" question to keep little fingers from accessing those areas. The parent section lets parents subscribe to the newsletter, give a like on Facebook, turn the promotion button off or on as well as the ability to turn off sounds and music. I love it when developers give parents the option to turn off the promotion screen and I would be pleased to see more of them do so.
After the settings are in order, play can begin! Each character knocks on the bathroom door and waits to be let in. They are filthy little guys and gals that need to get cleaned up and changed. There are six areas of the bathroom for play that include the laundry, toilet, bath, shower, sink and closet. The top of the screen gives children picture tasks to complete. For example one character might have brush teeth and take a bath while another character may need to take a shower and wash laundry. Even though there are tasks given, players can play in any area of the bathroom they want. Once tasks are completed, characters change clothes, say good-bye and leave so a new character can have his or her turn.
Each area of play has fun things to discover. In the bathtub, different colored bubble baths change the color of the water and there is a toy boat and snorkel to tinker with. In the shower, kids can remove the shower head and spray all of those hard to reach places. Depending on the tasks, some characters will get dried off with a towel while others get dry with a blow dryer. The characters going potty are silly as you can see in Ellie's video above and it's worth noting that at no time in the app do any of the little animals take all of their clothes off, even to go potty. It'll be up to the parents to explain that one to the kids that notice everything.
The app is well designed, colorful and non-buggy. Kids will have fun trying to figure out what can be done, what should be done and what can't be done. Parents might also find this app helpful for promoting hygiene steps to their toddlers. Overall, a great app from a solid developer.
