Woohoo! Let’s have a day of fun at the zoo with Grandma & Grandpa. That’s right, y’all, the latest app from Fairlady Media brings us fun with Grandma & Grandpa together. Let’s see what kind of fun we can have!
This newest adventure takes us to the zoo where we will get to play educational games, solve puzzles, and learn interesting facts about animals along the way. Your child will get to do things like:
- Practice spelling by fixing a broken sign.
- Pick out animals by the sounds they make.
- Put together a jigsaw puzzle (Bonus: Grandma shares a neat animal fact with you when it is complete.)
- Uncover fossils on a dig.
Help the cute little penguins get to their food by figuring out how to make them skate across the correct path.
- Play a fun “spot the difference game” with aquarium fish.
- Practice addition by counting the number of zoo visitors on the tram.
- Color new stripes or spots on animals that have lost them.
- Put the correct signs with the animals (or maybe on Grandpa, you never know.)
As always, there are some fun interactive activities sprinkled throughout. Your child will get to have a snack with Grandpa and pick out a souvenir toy with Grandma. They will get to watch several educational videos that teach details about unique and exotic animals (many that I had never heard of). Users even get to help a cute seal put on a show!

What I liked:
- This app is the same high quality we have come to expect from Fairlady Media. It finds itself in good company with all of the other Grandma and Grandpa apps.
- I liked that kids are introduced to so many strange and unique animals that they might not otherwise be able to learn about.
- I did find myself wishing that activities like helping the seal put on a show were not limited to the time that they currently are. I thought it would be fun to see exactly how long you could bounce the ball on the seal’s nose rather than just the current ten seconds. I felt like several of the activities could have used a little bit of variation in difficulty to keep from becoming monotonous.
- I did find myself wishing that there was a way to choose which activity you wanted to do rather than just completing them in the order presented.
Overall, I think this app is a great addition to the Fairlady Media collection. It easily joins the Smart Apps for Kids family of Top Picks! 4.5 Stars!
