It is the most wonderful time of the year! Well, at least for many parents, who have been eagerly awaiting the day that bus pulls up and whisks their sweet, little kiddo off to school, where they learn all day, and come home in the afternoon, as nature intended. Some kids are born to have structure, and let's face it. A little time away from our precious cupcakes makes us love them even more.
That being said, going back to school after a summer filled with playing, pools, vacations, and maybe a few video games is quite a big transition. One I would call almost epic. Obviously, some children transition more easily than others.
First, there is the wake-up time. Who am I kidding? My child is up by 6:00 AM most days, but many other children are not. There are academic demands, new teachers, new children, as opposed to fun, ice cream, and playing with friends or siblings.
*** Angie is gleefully counting down to the first day of school, like a child counts the days until Christmas.
