A free math app for teachers and schools? How terrific! I love math apps, and one with over 1000 activities, designed by math experts, is a great find. The parent version is free to download with a subscription for full access.
Teachers definitely need to add this app to their resources for math. Free access for both web and app versions provide engaging activities, worksheets and lesson plans. Matific is aligned with national and state curricula and mapped to many popular textbooks. What a win!
Learn more about Matific by visiting the website and signing up for an account. Then choose your version and start playing! Students can access Matific's engaging activities on the web (both Mac and PC) as well as Android and iOS tablets.
The activities I've tried on Matific are truly amazing. I could sign up as an educator to match the content used at my school. The activities are based on the Common Core and state standards, too, so they align with all state curricula. It's not just for the United States, either! Matific's content is aligned with the curricula of Australia, Ireland, Canada, Spain and Russia can also enjoy activities, just to name a few of the countries - there are over 20!
There is real-time student tracking, too. Teachers set up access for each of their students, then monitor their progress on activities and concepts. It's a great addition for classes with 1:1device access, but even classes with just one device can make use by setting it up as a work station. Plus, computer access allows multiple ways for students to learn.

“This kind of program, which gives students opportunities to explore and experiment with specific math ideas, is rare and much more valuable to my students than a tutorial or skills practice website. Lessons with Matific build number sense and mathematical reasoning far better than standard textbook lessons.” Cathy F. California
“Arguably technology is doing to maths what industrial agriculture did to food: making it efficient, dull and low quality. Matific doesn’t fall into this for me. It is exciting, top quality and highly resourceful.” John D, United Kingdom
