Kiwaka Story by Landka follows four jungle friends, an elephant, a crocodile, a snake and a bird as they search for the story of the stars. With help from each other and some butterflies as well as fireflies, they learn about the major constellations and their classic mythologies as well as how to find them. In this beautiful app with musical composition by David Leon and narration by Diogo Morgado, children will enjoy gazing at the stars.

Kiwaka Story follows four friends, Kudi the elephant, Tuka the bird, Kwilu the crocodile and Shaka the snake as they search for the meaning of the stars. As they wander, they meet fireflies who share their secret of being able to carry the starlight from heaven to Earth and are taught about the constellations and the stories behind them such as the big and little dippers.
The app is a pleasure for little ones to play with and listen to with a gorgeous and subtle soundtrack and professional narration. The app is also full of interactive touch and react elements for younger readers who need to fiddle a bit during story time. The constellations are laid out clearly and plainly and also with a bit of fun so that kids can explore the night sky from their devices via interactive touch and move elements. Besides the quaint story and descriptions of the constellations, the characters are based on real world places in Africa and are described at the end of the book for inquiring minds.
Parents will love the ability to change the written language and narration language separately with a choice of English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese or Japanese. Another bonus is making sure that external links to social media and the app store are parent-protected as well as being able to turn music off, but I can't imagine why anyone would turn it off.
