Find All - Fun learning game for kids and toddlers to develop attention and fine motor skills is a free app with optional in-app purchase. The free version comes with six fully working scenes with the availability of eight additional scenes for $1.99. The free version has the same, full functionality of the unlocked version which is great. This gives parents the ability to truly test out the app before choosing to spend money for additional content.
It is a pretty simple concept. A scene is displayed on the screen with a number of items for a child to find. For instance, there is a kitchen scene with a variety of candies hidden, and an underwater scene with various fish the child must seek and find. Once all the items are tapped, the child is congratulated and the next scene is displayed. All the scenes are automatically loaded and once the final scene is completed the child is brought back to the main menu.
The in-app purchase says it will unlock additional scenes and remove ads. In the time I played the app before buying the in-app purchase I never saw any ads. If there are any, I am happy to report that they are not the kind that pop up every 15 seconds or have the ad banner continually running across the bottom of the screen.
I do like how some of the objects really stand out while others can be a bit more camouflaged. For instance, there are green caterpillars hidden within the leaves of the flower garden. There were times where a bee was hidden almost completely behind a leaf or a fish behind a piece of seaweed where it became difficult to find the object. My son started to get a little frustrated and ended up just tapping everywhere on the screen until he accidentally tapped on the hidden item.
It would be nice if the scenes were a little more interactive. Perhaps in the kitchen scene, kids could open cabinets or move leaves out of the way when searching for caterpillars and butterflies. I like that there are not a ton of distractions; however, I worry that there just isn’t quite enough interaction to keep a young child’s attention for very long.
Once all the objects are found there is a fun little celebration and then the next scene is automatically loaded. I would also like it if there was some sort of counter to let children know how many items they have found and how many they are still looking for. This could help reinforce number skills as well as helping the child know how many more items they need to find before reaching the celebration and moving on to the next scene.
If you are looking for a seek and find app, I suggest giving the free version a try. If your child enjoys it then you may want to consider investing the $1.99 to add more scenes into the rotation.
